I was notified that i would receive the bed last Friday by FedEx, waited all day, and it never showed up. I was never notified of the delay by Get Laid as well. Still haven't heard or received it 5 days later.
2.5 stars What I Wish I Knew Before Buying...
(hassle to assemble, good customer service but not the best informant, unhelpful instructions)
We've had this bed for a month now so here's my honest review.
Overall, this bed is decent enough. It's definitely quaint and sturdy however, there are some things I wish I knew before purchasing. If I had the chance to go back and in time and tell myself yes or no to buying the bed, I'd say consider this;
Make sure you're fed, well rested, and up for a challenge before you take on assembling this bed. This bed MUST be assembled by two people for the sake of your sanity. There is no way I would have been able to assemble this bed alone. It comes in slats and requires one person to hold and another to align and drill.
Speaking of drill, I had made a point to ask the customer service reps if there were any tools we needed to provide to assemble the bed and they responded by saying all the parts are provided for you. Luckily we had a drill but that is something that is not clarified; GET A DRILL! And a partner who'll help you hold, lift, assemble. And maybe a rubber mallet.
The instructions were NOT very clear or helpful. There were predrilled holes which were very helpful guidance but you're pretty much doing your best to try and decipher the graphics from the instructions.
I spoke with the customer service representatives via email and over the phone. They were polite and somewhat helpful but some of the information wasn't exactly what I was expecting once the product was assembled. The main one being the drawers I also ordered. Again, I was clear in asking these questions because international shipping is a bit of a hassle and wanted to get it right. I asked that the drawers did not drag on the floor because we live in a rental and didn't want it scratching. The sales associate kept insisting that so long as the drawers were assembled correctly, this wouldn't be a problem. No where along the bottom could we place the wheels that they weren't going to still drag on the ground. The wheels basically add a light support for the drawers to lightly graze on the ground. I ordered two drawers and one turned out a little better than the other but still, not the best. We're considering buying new wheels for the drawers which is a pain but almost necessary at this point.
For the price, I wouldn't say these problems were worth it. I love how it turned out but it was a lot of labor for something we weren't expecting to be so stressful. The bad directions and difficult build were a headache but I do love how it looks. And it feels pretty sturdy but again, lots of work went into it. If you're not a fan of building, this one isn't for you.

Finally put my bed together. It is very well made and I love it. Worth every penny.
The classic four poster in warm white is the focal point of the bedroom and a fun place to sleep. A simple but strong design, which you can dress in so many ways. It was easy to add tab tie curtains to create a soft, feminine look. Get Laid Beds were responsive and helpful, such that the chosen design was just right and arranging delivery was straightforward. They supplied a very comfortable mattress too. Such incredible value for money. Highly recommended.
I bought the Tokyo low bed and all I received was 3 pieces of stained planks and 2 pieces of plank pine. Where is the headboard? Where are the legs? Where are all the pieces?? Where is the rest of the bed?? I hope there is some sort of mix up. I have called their offices in NYC but have been unable to speak with anyone. Hopefully I'll be able to follow up this review but until I do I WOULD NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from this company.
I wrote a review beforehand, but I’ll do it again! I messed up the order and was so embarrassed about the whole thing! They were so helpful and kind and quick with changing things and making the BEST bed frame ever!! I LOVE IT!
I would’ve given 5 stars but I had to get the slats replaced because the original ones were too long. Customer service was very good, however, and the end result is very good. Sturdy and attractive
This Bed arrived promptly (especially considering its trip across the pond). Furthermore, it was easy to assemble and is a lovely addition to our master bedroom.
The bed looks great and seems to be sturdy. I did not give it 5 stars because the bed arrived with multiple scratches and dents. I believe this occurred during its shipment, which could have been a avoided by packaging the bed with some type of protective material (styrofoam, plastic wrapping, cardboard, etc.) Instead of just the cardboard box. One of the rails also seemed to be much rougher(in need of sanding) than the rest, luckily I was able to use that piece against the wall so it wont be noticed.
Very happy with the awesomeness of this bed! It arrived earlier than the estimated delivery date From FedEx, which was great. It was very straightforward to assemble and we had no issues. It was on sale and was a very fair price for such a solid, lovely bed! I would definitely buy from Get Laid Beds again.
The bed feels cheap and squeaky and our optional extra of storage and bedside table were for 1 each, really unintuitive order and we had to add 1 more of each to the other. It arrived a week late with no updates from FedEx or the customer support team. We have to hire a carpenter to add more weight to the frame so it doesn’t squeak and move anytime we sit on it.
Amazing service from beginning to end . Customer care was always so helpful especially with brexit looming and the possibility I could be paying import duty as I live in Malta It arrived before the deadline . Well done Get laid Beds ????
